This story is about me, my music, and most importantly the interprets and artists who inspired me most - who made my music what it is today, added with my very own flavor. And it is about friendly artists and bands as well as musicans I like to listen to myself.
SEPTEMBER 2009 - today’s subject: mark ronson
He is a producer, one of the most talented of his kind. Home in pop-genre, he worked for and together with artists like the roots, sean paul, weezer, christina aguilera, lily allen and robbie wiliams... just to name a few. In 2007, he worked with amy winehouse and daniel merriweather, in 2008, he won the grammy award for best producer of the year - well deserved, in my opinion, did he not produce plenty of radio hits. Most of the time, you just don't realize he was acting behind the scene when we liste to winehouse, aguilera & co. He's my ideal, just like Hans Zimmer, just in pop-genre.

AUGUST 2009 - today’s subject: rue du soleil
Those guys are just great. My first encounter of rue du soleil was on a cd by cafe del mar. The quiet, chillout sounds in their productions are simply amazing - just lean back and relaxe, enjoy the sunset in ibiza: that's what this music is for. The four lads are all from Switzerland and came together to produce songs such as "in my heart". Frequently, they find incredible solo singer to perfect their work.

JULY 2009 - today’s subject: hans zimmer
Imagine you're watching a cinema movie. Can you picture it without any music in it? No? Of course not! That's exactly what Hans Zimmer does. He's produced the soundtrack for many blockbuster movies, ex. black hawk down, pearl harbor, pirates of the carribean, gladiator, etc. To me, he is THE producer. With his incredibly good arrangements, he always knows how to place the dot on the i on the movie. Sometimes, he co-producers with other artists like Harry Gregson-Williams. That's how the soundtrack of Pirates of the Carribean has been produced, written by Klaus Badelt. When listing to his compositions, I can picture the movie scene by scene - movie and music are simply a unit. And without guys like Hans Zommer, movies just wouldn't bring tears into women's eyes.... ;-)

JUNE 2009 - today’s subject: itchy feet
It was some time ago that I met Matthias, the drummer of "itchy feet". He used to work in the same agency. The Swabian was looking for a new band back then, after the moved from the pretty Swabia to the prettier Lower-Saxxony. Today, he's the drummer of "itchy feet", a really good rock/pop-band from Hannover. They write great songs, my absolute favorite is "grey sky". I always liked rock, so real drums find their way into my own work quite often. The "itchy feet"-combo just does it: great vocals by Marlit, funky gitarre riffs completed by solid drum beats. They have had many gigs in Hannover so far, ex. at gig, faust, etc. soon, they'll even have an appearence at the "fete de la musique" in Hannover, an event taking place in many countries with all of downtown being crowded with stages, bands and of course crowds. Great band, my respects! Keep rocking, itchy feet!

MAY 2009 - today’s subject: moodorama
It's been awhile since I listened to my last moodorama-song - it's been "sweet toffee", a real masterpiece of funk/jazz/trip-hop. The combination of funky beats and great vocals just does the trick, and they like to experiment. So far, they published 5 albums, every single one with a unique arrangement. In 2007, they started their own label, named just like one of their album: "music for collapsing people". The label works with artists like moonchild, flowkiste and, of course, moodorame themselves. If you like massive attack or air, you'll love those artists. Moodorama had a huge influence on me finding my style - unwittingly, of course, since (unfortunately) I've never met them...
